Chacha Pakistani: A hero or a warning to the nation?

The monsoon started in early July in Pakistan this year, and we saw a heavy rainfall, approximately 4 cm of rain. It’s the highest ever rainfall in a decade, and as always, the roads of Lahore crumbled, and the major roads and streets of Lahore became a water canal. As always, WASA Lahore, which is responsible for water supply, sewerage, and drainage, failed as a gov body. Amid this monsoon, the citizens of Lahore faced a lot of problems because of a lack of proper drainage maintenance. From a barber to a business tycoon in Lahore, everyone faces a sharp drop in business. Local cheap commute services like Bykea or Indrive were also affected by this monsoon. Just think of bykea and indrive bike riders who earns bread daily by working daily on roads, and when roads are full of water like a canal how will they survive? in this situation, a man was filming roads, which were filled by water and this Chacha Pakistani, who’s bike was switched off because of water pours into his engine, was passing from that road. He just criticized the local government and the establishment of Pakistan, in an abusive way, for the problem he was facing. That video went viral in 24 hours, and that video became meme material; even Indian news channels reported this incident on national media. After this, the local gov of Lahore took action on Chacha Pakistani and not only arrested him, but also forced him to make a video in favor of the local gov and the establishment of Pakistan, and also say sorry to both of them.

Now, the question is whether Pakistan is a free state or still under an unjust dictatorship. Where can’t you even speak freely about what you think? Chacha Pakistani’s original name, Sajid Nawaz, was working in Qarshi, Pakistan, but after his video became viral, Qarshi Pakistan Pvt Limited expelled him from his job. Is it a threat to the whole nation and a hidden message from the government that there’s no freedom of speech in this country? And you will be punished if you even speak against the government of Pakistan?
